For Long Rides
Refuel as You Ride.
Every sunny day feeds range back into the battery, ride for 3 days, 140-miles short trip, zero plug-in charging needed.
| Base battery range | 90 mi |
| Hard riding per day | 50 mi |
| Solar recovered per day | 17 mi |
| Net battery used per day | 33 mi |
| off-grid on a single charge | ~3 days ~ 140mi |
For Daily Commuters
One Month Charging Free.
Short daily trips, parked in the sun while you work. Solar quietly tops up the battery in the background — so a single charge can carry you through nearly a month of commuting.

FAQs
What do you mean by "One-Month Commute. No Charging Worries."
It's simple: the battery already gives you a solid base range, and each day the bike sits in the sun, solar adds back around 17 miles. Since most daily commutes stay within about 20 miles, the net drain on the battery stays small — so a single full charge can last roughly 16 to 35 days before you need to plug in, depending on how you ride and the weather.
Since the wheels are solid, is the bike stable in strong winds?
We conducted real-world riding tests in strong crosswinds. During our testing, the bike remained stable and controllable, without any noticeable impact on normal steering. You can watch the actual wind test here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW3mr9nriz4
Of course, strong winds can affect any bicycle, so we always recommend slowing down or avoiding riding in extreme weather conditions.
How much range does solar actually add?
Under good sunlight, up to ~17 miles (27 km) per day — recovered continuously while you ride and while you're parked.
Is solar charging fast enough?
PHOSGO isn't built for fast charging — it's built for less charging. The value isn't peak power in a single moment; it's how much riding range the system adds back over the course of a day.
How big is the bike — will it fit me?
The 29" frame suits riders roughly 5'7"–6'4" (170–193 cm).
Can it climb hills?
Yes. The Bafang mid-drive delivers up to 150 N·m and handles grades of roughly 20–25%, depending on rider weight, load, and road conditions.
What's the difference between US and EU models?
Same solar technology, same frame. US models run higher-power motors and speeds; EU models are tuned to local pedelec rules (250W / 25 km/h).
When does it ship, and how do I order?
We're launching soon on Indiegogo. Join the email list now for early access and the lowest price
How long does it take to charge with a plug-in?
About 3 hours from empty to a full charge on a standard plug — and solar keeps topping it up for free whenever you're in the sun.
What's the maximum load capacity?
Up to 330 lbs (150 kg), including the rider and any cargo.
What brakes does the Go 5 Series use?
Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors — strong, consistent stopping power in any weather.
Does it have suspension?
Yes — front hydraulic suspension to smooth out bumps and rough roads.
Is Phosgo Go 5 Series Waterproof?
Yes. The whole bike is rated IPX5, so it's built to handle rain and wet roads with confidence.
Does solar only work when parked, or also while I ride?
Both. Parked in the sun, the wheels recharge the battery — around 17 miles of range over a few sunny hours. Riding in the sun, that power flows straight to the motor, so you draw less from the battery per mile (about 6.5 Wh/mi vs 8 Wh/mi) — stretching your range even further.
