PHOSGO Completes 600 km in 5 Days at The Sun Trip 2026 in China
Five days, 600 kilometers, and one shared passion for solar powered mobility. PHOSGO joins an international community of solar cycling enthusiasts in China, bringing its wheel integrated solar technology onto real roads.

Five Days on the Road, One Shared Vision
PHOSGO has successfully completed a 600 km cycling journey over five days during The Sun Trip 2026 in China, held in Guangdong Province.
Bringing together riders, organizers and solar mobility enthusiasts from different countries and backgrounds, the event was an opportunity to experience solar powered cycling beyond the drawing board and into real world conditions.
For PHOSGO, this journey was about more than completing the distance. It was an opportunity to share our technology, exchange ideas with experienced solar cyclists and explore new possibilities for everyday sustainable transportation.
Our team brought the PHOSGO Go5 series, featuring solar panels integrated into the wheels, to the event. By incorporating photovoltaic technology into the wheel design, PHOSGO offers a different approach to solar powered electric bicycles, combining energy collection with the form and function of a practical bicycle.
As the creator of the world's first mass produced solar powered electric bicycle series, PHOSGO is working to make solar mobility a practical option for more riders.
Meeting The Sun Trip Community
The meeting between PHOSGO and The Sun Trip was a natural connection.
The Sun Trip brings together people who share a passion for cycling, solar energy, exploration and sustainable transportation. PHOSGO shares that same spirit through its slogan, Ride the Sun.
During the event, our team met riders with different experiences and perspectives on solar powered cycling. Their questions, conversations and feedback gave us valuable opportunities to introduce our design and hear how experienced cyclists think about the future of solar mobility.
Different people may approach solar cycling in different ways, but the shared enthusiasm for exploring what sunlight can make possible brought everyone together.
For us, that was one of the most rewarding parts of the journey.

Florian Bailly: A Conversation About Solar Cycling
As the founder of The Sun Trip, Florian Bailly has extensive experience with solar powered cycling and long distance journeys. His perspective offered a valuable opportunity to discuss the relationship between solar technology, bicycle design and real world riding.
During his interview with PHOSGO, Florian shared his experiences with solar cycling and discussed his impressions of the PHOSGO Go5.
The conversation touched on the integrated solar wheel design and the overall riding experience, including handling, comfort, motor assistance and climbing performance.
For PHOSGO, feedback from someone with first hand experience in solar cycling is particularly meaningful. It allows us to discuss our design with people who understand the practical challenges and possibilities of travelling by bicycle with the help of the sun.
Olivier Verdeil: First Impressions on the Road
Olivier Verdeil also took the opportunity to experience the PHOSGO Go5 during the event.
In his interview, Olivier commented on the bicycle's appearance and design, expressing his appreciation for its distinctive look. He also discussed his riding experience, including climbing and the kinds of routes on which the bicycle could be used.
For PHOSGO, these first hand impressions matter because a bicycle must work as a complete product. Its appearance, riding experience and practical functionality all contribute to how people connect with it.
The Sun Trip gave riders the opportunity to encounter PHOSGO not just as a new idea, but as a bicycle they could see and ride for themselves.
Willem Maes: Exploring the Bike's Practical Features
Willem Maes offered another perspective on the PHOSGO Go5.
His interview touched on the overall impression of the bicycle, its size and fit, motor assistance and solar charging system.
These are practical considerations for anyone choosing an electric bicycle. Riders want to understand not only how a bicycle looks, but also how its dimensions suit them, how the motor supports their ride and how solar technology fits into everyday use.
Conversations like this help us understand the questions riders have when encountering a new approach to electric cycling.
Taking Solar Wheel Technology onto Real Roads
One of the defining features of the PHOSGO Go5 series is its wheel integrated photovoltaic system.
Rather than treating solar panels as a separate accessory, PHOSGO incorporates them into the wheel design. The system is designed to collect solar energy while the bicycle is being ridden or parked under suitable sunlight conditions.
This approach allows solar technology to become part of the bicycle itself, while maintaining a design intended for practical everyday riding.
During The Sun Trip, the Go5 travelled alongside riders through the event's real world cycling routes. The experience provided an opportunity to share our approach with people who are passionate about exploring the possibilities of solar powered transportation.
Solar charging performance depends on sunlight, weather, parking conditions and riding habits. The journey was not simply about demonstrating a technology. It was also about learning, exchanging ideas and seeing how different people respond to new possibilities in solar mobility.
More Than a Cycling Event
Completing 600 km in five days was a memorable milestone for the PHOSGO team, but the value of The Sun Trip went beyond the distance.
We met people who have dedicated time and energy to solar cycling, heard different perspectives on bicycle design and shared our vision for making solar powered mobility more accessible.
The three interviews offered different viewpoints, from the experience of The Sun Trip's founder to the practical impressions of individual riders. Alongside the photographs and riding footage captured throughout the event, they tell a more complete story of how PHOSGO's technology was introduced to an international cycling community.
We are grateful to The Sun Trip organizers and all the riders who welcomed us, experienced our bicycles and shared their thoughts with our team.
Every conversation helps us better understand what riders value and where solar mobility can go next.
Ride the Sun, Keep Moving Forward
At PHOSGO, we believe the future of mobility can make better use of the energy available around us.
The Sun Trip 2026 was an opportunity to put that belief into action, meet people who share our curiosity and take another step toward making solar powered electric cycling part of everyday life.
Five days. Six hundred kilometers. Many different perspectives, united by a shared interest in the power of the sun.
The journey has ended, but our work continues.
Ride the Sun.
